Buying a property has its complications, but it could get a whole lot harder and disappointing if the building works don’t go smoothly. It is easy for this to happen, particularly when you live in another country.


Need a shining white knight? Look no further. My name is Richard Smith and I manage property restorations and building projects in the south of Le Marche, Italy. I am a qualified Chartered Surveyor, a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), the highest property qualification available and recognised worldwide. I work with clients from many different countries, with different project sizes, different budgets and different timescales, but each one is important to me.

Are you living in another country? Do you have an Italian geometra handling your documentation and permissions, but feel you want the reassurance of regular, detailed reports, written in English, with supporting photographs? Then SPC Eyes and Ears is for you.

SPC Total Management

This gives you complete peace of mind.  I can pull together your whole project team: architect, geometra, structural engineer, geologist, landscapers, swimming pool construction company etc. I manage your team, the schedule, the quotation process. I keep you updated on all aspects of the project at agreed intervals, with supporting photos and plans as necessary.

SPC Supplier Contacts
